The Oily Basics
Most of us have had some exposure to essential oils in one form or another. So many people ask me about them and best ways to use them. If you're like me, you didn't click on this link to read a novel about oils, distillation and what not. This will be short and sweet, I promise!
An essential oil is the aromatic essence of flowers, trees, shrubs, flowers, herbs, grasses and resins. The oil is the plants natural defense system and when we use them, they support us in the same manner.
Essential oils support every system of your body including muscular, skeletal, endocrine, immune, circulatory, and hormones. They are also amazing at emotional and spiritual support along with sleep, focus and calming. As if all that is not enough, essential oils can replace many of our toxic cleaning and personal care products.
There are 3 ways to use essential oils; aromatically, topically and internally. Diffusing is a popular aromatic method, topically you would apply to your skin usually diluted in a fatty oil and internal can be achieved through capsules, drops in water or food utilizing the Vitality line of oils.
